Character background and universe (Lore)

Anya Forger is one of the central characters in SPY x FAMILY, a manga created by Tatsuya Endo. Adopted by the spy Loid Forger as part of Operation Strix, she quickly becomes an essential part of the fake family he has put together in order to get close to a political target.

Anya actually possesses a power that she keeps secret: she is able to read the minds of those around her. This ability allows her to understand some of Loid and Yor’s true intentions, even though she often interprets situations through the lens of her imagination and childlike logic.

A pupil at the prestigious Eden Academy, Anya tries to help her adoptive father carry out his mission whilst leading a school life that is sometimes chaotic. Her spontaneous personality, memorable facial expressions and enthusiasm for spy adventures contribute greatly to the series’ humour and charm.

Behind her comical side, Anya is also deeply attached to her new family and constantly strives to protect their life together. This combination of tenderness, clumsiness and extraordinary powers has made her one of the most iconic characters in SPY x FAMILY.
