Its hardback cover features a 3D lenticular effect: the illustration changes depending on the viewing angle and depicts Spider-Man as a black substance, reminiscent of the symbiote, appears to gradually cover his red and blue suit.
In A5 format, the notebook features a blue spiral binding, an elasticated closure and 80 lined sheets for organising notes, lists or ideas. The pages also feature Spider-Man graphics, whilst the lenticular cover is the product’s main decorative feature.

Spider-Man is the heroic alter ego of Peter Parker, a young scientist who gains spider-like abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. Superhuman strength and agility, the ability to cling to surfaces and his spider-sense enable him to fight crime, whilst Peter designs his famous web-shooters himself.
The ‘Dark Transformation’ theme of this sketchbook evokes one of the most famous episodes in the character’s history: his encounter with the alien symbiote. Following the events of Secret Wars, Spider-Man returns to Earth wearing a new black suit which turns out to be a sentient life form capable of bonding with its host. Peter eventually discovers the true nature of this suit and rids himself of it with the help of the Fantastic Four.
The symbiote then finds a new host in Eddie Brock, giving rise to Venom, one of the characters most closely associated with Spider-Man. The lenticular image on this notebook does not necessarily depict a specific scene from the comics: it visually captures the idea of the transition between the classic red and blue suit and the symbiote’s dark appearance, which looks different when the cover is tilted.
