Origin and character’s universe
Based on the Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse comic book miniseries published in 2022 by Marvel Comics, this iteration explores a major temporal anomaly in which Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacy of Earth-65) is erased from her own timeline. To repair the fabric of reality, she must travel across dimensions and ally herself with variants of herself who have taken on the destinies of Earth’s greatest superheroes. Among these alternate versions is Thorgwen, a worthy Gwen Stacy who has managed to lift the mythical hammer Mjolnir to become the Goddess of Thunder. Armed with her divine strength and mastery of lightning, and combining spider-like agility with the power of Asgard, she emerges as an indispensable cosmic protector in this multiverse saga.
