Character origin and universe
Based on the Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse comic book miniseries published in 2022 by Marvel Comics, this iteration explores a major temporal anomaly in which Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacy of Earth-65) is erased from her own timeline. To repair the fabric of reality, she must travel across dimensions and ally herself with variants of herself who have taken on the destinies of Earth’s greatest superheroes. Among these alternate versions is Wolver-Gwen, a version of Gwen Stacy who has inherited Wolverine’s wild temperament, mutant healing factor and retractable adamantium claws. Combining the agility and style of a web-slinger with the X-Men’s fighting spirit, she stands out as one of the sharpest and most memorable variants in this multiverse saga.
