SHREK - Head - 3D Bowl

Officially licensed by Shrek, this 3D bowl by Grupo Erik transforms the head of DreamWorks’ famous ogre into a kitchen accessory that is as functional as it is decorative. Entirely modelled in relief, it captures the character’s key features: green skin, tubular ears, thick eyebrows, a prominent nose and his characteristic broad smile.

The very shape of the bowl is built around Shrek’s face: the ears protrude from either side, whilst the facial features are directly integrated into the outer surface. The surface features a glossy finish and hand-painted decoration, with shades of green and colourful details around the eyes, eyebrows and mouth. Product images show it being used with cereals or popcorn.

Made from embossed dolomite with a hand-painted finish, this bowl requires more care than standard tableware: the information corresponding to the exact same EAN specifies that it is neither microwave-safe nor dishwasher-safe. It can therefore be used as a bowl for cold food or food at a suitable temperature, but also as a decorative item in a collection dedicated to Shrek and DreamWorks.

Origin and character background (Lore)

Shrek is the protagonist of the eponymous DreamWorks animated film, released in 2001. A solitary ogre, he initially lives peacefully in his swamp and particularly enjoys his isolation. His daily life is turned upside down when Lord Farquaad has numerous fairy-tale creatures expelled from his lands. To restore the tranquillity of his swamp, Shrek agrees to undertake a mission to rescue Princess Fiona.

He sets off on this adventure accompanied by Donkey, a particularly chatty companion who gradually becomes his best friend. Shrek also discovers that Fiona herself harbours a secret linked to a curse and that they have more in common than he ever imagined. Their relationship becomes one of the central themes of the franchise.

His green face, distinctive ears and broad smile have become the character’s key visual features. This 3D bowl directly replicates this iconic silhouette by using Shrek’s entire head as the shape of the bowl, transforming one of the saga’s most recognisable symbols into a kitchen accessory.
