Character background and universe
Gaku is one of the most memorable major antagonists in the crazy, fast-paced world of Sakamoto Days, the hit manga by Yuto Suzuki. An elite assassin with Olympian calm yet devastating violence, he serves as the right-hand man and chief executioner of the mysterious Slur (X). A video game enthusiast who carries his console everywhere, he approaches life-or-death battles with the detachment and enjoyment of a casual gaming session, making him particularly unpredictable and terrifying to his opponents.
This figurine perfectly captures the character’s distinctive design, clad in his iconic dark outfit, with his light two-tone hair and focused expression. It depicts him with his highly unusual weapon of choice: a massive high-tech battle mace whose spiked, cube-shaped head resembles a meat tenderiser. Banpresto’s sculpt meticulously recreates every detail of this fearsome weapon, the folds of his clothing under the strain of movement, as well as Gaku’s cat-like agility, making it an absolute centrepiece for any fan wishing to capture the essence of the battles in Sakamoto Days.
