Inspired by Predator 2, this Iron Studios figurine depicts the City Hunter Predator, the alien hunter who turns the streets of Los Angeles into his new hunting ground in the 1990 film. Crafted to a 1/10 scale, the piece stands approximately 43 cm tall and faithfully recreates the Predator’s appearance based on original references from the feature film.
The City Hunter is depicted in a commanding pose, equipped with his hunting arsenal. His body reveals a particularly detailed reptilian anatomy, complemented by his long dreadlocks, body net and asymmetrical metal armour. The sculpture notably features his Bio-mask, the shoulder-mounted Plasmacaster, his wrist blades and his imposing Combistick – the distinctive long spear used in his battles.
Iron Studios has also gone the extra mile with the finishing touches, using hand-painted detailing to reproduce the Predator’s mottled skin pattern, its damp appearance and the various metallic textures of his equipment. Skulls collected as trophies complete the display and are a direct reminder of the creature’s hunting habits. The figurine also features interchangeable heads and hands, allowing you to alter its appearance and display configuration.
Measuring approximately 43 × 32 × 19 cm, this Art Scale figure makes particular use of the Combistick’s length to emphasise its vertical presence. The Predator rests on a base evoking the urban environment of Los Angeles, reinforcing its identity as a ‘City Hunter’. The figurine can therefore be displayed with or without its Bio-mask, depending on the chosen configuration.

The City Hunter is the Predator at the centre of *Predator 2*, directed by Stephen Hopkins and released in 1990. The action moves from the jungle of the first film to a Los Angeles plagued by gang violence, where police lieutenant Mike Harrigan, played by Danny Glover, investigates a series of particularly brutal massacres. He gradually discovers that the culprit does not belong to any of the criminal groups he is pursuing: it is an alien hunter who has come to select his prey from amongst the city’s fighters.
Like other members of his species, the City Hunter possesses extremely advanced hunting technology. His equipment includes, in particular, active camouflage, thermal imaging, a shoulder-mounted plasma cannon and a range of weapons designed for close-quarters combat. He mainly targets armed individuals and keeps certain remains of his victims as trophies – a behaviour directly evoked by the skulls incorporated into this Iron Studios figurine.
The City Hunter differs from the Predator in the first film not only in his environment but also in his more varied arsenal. *Predator 2* thus explores the culture and practices of these alien hunters in greater depth, whilst revealing that the creature Harrigan faces is not an isolated individual. The film therefore contributes significantly to the expansion of the franchise’s mythology beyond the original *Predator* from 1987.
This 1/10 scale City Hunter Art Scale figurine is specifically designed to recreate this 1990 incarnation. The Bio-mask, the Plasmacaster, the wrist blades, the Combistick and the trophies feature the key elements associated with his hunt through the streets of Los Angeles, whilst interchangeable parts allow you to display both his uncovered face and his full hunting kit.
