Origin and world of the character (Lore)
First introduced in the fourth generation of video games with Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl in the Sinnoh region, Lucario is the evolution of Riolu. This bipedal Pokémon is distinguished by its unique ability to perceive and manipulate the Aura, a spiritual energy emanating from all living beings. By analysing these waves, it can divine thoughts, anticipate the movements of its opponents in battle and even understand human language. Loyal and endowed with a keen sense of justice, Lucario has become a veritable emblem of power throughout the franchise, famous for his signature "Aurasphere" attack and his major appearances in the saga's films and series.
