Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Introduced in the first generation of video games with the mythical Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue versions in the Kanto region, Hypotrempe (Horsea in the original version) is a small Water-type Pokémon that later evolves into Hypocean and then Hyporoi. Living mainly in coral reefs and calm seabeds, it is known for its great aquatic agility and its ability to spit black ink to blind predators or capture insects above the surface. Highly appreciated for its docile character and cute design, this Pokémon has established itself as a timeless classic of the franchise through its many appearances in games, trading cards and the animated series.
