POKEMON - Bulbasaur - Backpack Plush 35cm

Meet Bulbasaur, one of the iconic Pokémon from the first generation, with this plush rucksack measuring approximately 35 cm, manufactured by CYP Brands under official Pokémon licence. Part soft toy, part practical accessory, this design faithfully recreates the Pokémon’s full silhouette in an original format, perfect for carrying small everyday items.

The bag reproduces Bulbasaur’s key features: its blue-green body, red eyes, dark spots and, above all, the large green bulb on its back. This houses the main zipped compartment, perfect for storing small accessories, toys or personal items. Two adjustable shoulder straps complete the design, allowing you to carry Bulbasaur just like a proper little rucksack.

Made from a soft, plush-like polyester fabric, this bag retains the cosy feel of a soft toy whilst serving as a practical storage solution.

Character background and lore

Bulbasaur is Pokémon No. 0001 in the Pokédex and is of the Grass and Poison types. It is part of the first generation of Pokémon and evolves successively into Ivysaur, then into Venusaur. The official Pokédex classifies it as a Seed Pokémon and associates it with the Fertilise ability.

Its most recognisable feature is the seed on its back from birth, which gradually develops alongside it. This permanent connection to vegetation explains its numerous Grass-type abilities and the gradual evolution of the bulb as it transforms into Ivysaur and then Venusaur.

Bulbasaur is also one of the Pokémon traditionally associated with choosing a first partner in the Kanto region, alongside Charmander and Squirtle. Pokémon points out that the first partners offered to Trainers are generally of the Grass, Fire or Water types.

This 35 cm Bulbasaur soft toy rucksack thus transforms the instantly recognisable silhouette of the first Pokémon in the Pokédex into an accessory that is soft, decorative and practical all at once.
