Origin and character’s universe
‘Patch’ (The One-Eyed Man) is a secret alias used by the mutant Wolverine (Logan) during his adventures published by Marvel Comics. Wishing to operate discreetly and incognito without attracting the attention of the X-Men or his enemies on the fictional island of Madripoor — an Asian hub of organised crime and smuggling — he adopts a civilian identity. To do so, he conceals his features beneath a simple white eye patch, swaps his superhero costume for an elegant white tuxedo jacket and combs his hair back, whilst frequenting the famous Princess Bar. The Patch & Mr. Fix It stories explore this period during which Logan, posing as a cynical and resourceful bar owner, regularly crosses paths with Joe Fixit (the Grey Hulk disguised as a gangster). This figurine captures this classic retro detective and gangster aesthetic for comic book enthusiasts.
