Character background and lore

Tony Tony Chopper is the doctor of the Straw Hat crew in One Piece. Originally, Chopper was a reindeer who ate the Hito Hito no Mi, a Devil Fruit that gave him human intelligence as well as the ability to take on various forms halfway between a reindeer and a human.

Rejected by both reindeer and humans because of his unusual appearance, Chopper was taken in by Dr Hiriluk and then trained in medicine by Dr Kureha on Drum Island. These experiences shaped his dream: to become a doctor capable of curing all illnesses.

After meeting Monkey D. Luffy, he joins the crew as their ship’s doctor. Despite his often adorable appearance and sometimes naive nature, Chopper is also a fighter capable of utilising various transformations thanks to his knowledge and his Rumble Balls.

This GloBuddies lamp thus brings one of the most popular characters from One Piece to life in a decorative, illuminated format, whilst retaining the instantly recognisable identity of the Straw Hat Pirates’ doctor.
