ONE PIECE - Monkey D. Luffy - Figure Premium Brush 30cm

Meet Monkey D. Luffy, captain of the Straw Hat Crew, with this impressive Banpresto figurine from the Premium The Brush collection. Standing approximately 30 cm tall, this piece depicts the One Piece hero in a design crafted to fully showcase the large scale and distinctive paintwork characteristic of this range.

Luffy is depicted standing, wearing his iconic straw hat, with his red shirt open to reveal the X-shaped scar on his chest, orange shorts paired with a purple sash, and his sandals. A wide black cloak rests on his shoulders and frames his silhouette, whilst his broad smile immediately conveys the character’s characteristic confidence and enthusiasm.

The ‘The Brush’ finish is distinguished by a painting technique designed to accentuate volume, shadows and areas of light, giving the sculpture a look reminiscent of a brush-painted illustration. Combined with the 30 cm scale, this treatment particularly highlights the musculature, the folds in the clothing and the various elements of Luffy’s outfit. The figurine is made from PVC and is a large-scale piece intended for display within a One Piece collection.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Monkey D. Luffy is the main protagonist of One Piece, a manga created by Eiichiro Oda. Originally from East Blue, he sets sail with a clear goal: to find the legendary treasure known as One Piece and become the Pirate King. Recognisable by his straw hat, given to him by Shanks during his childhood, Luffy gradually gathers the Straw Hat crew around him and sails across the Grand Line in search of new adventures.

Luffy stands out as much for his fighting skills as for his spontaneous personality, his strong love of freedom and his loyalty to his companions. His body possesses elastic properties resulting from the power he gained after eating a Devil Fruit, enabling him to develop, over the course of his journey, numerous techniques based on stretching and deforming his body.

During his journey, Luffy faces off against pirates, members of the Marines and various powers that control the seas, whilst gradually drawing closer to his goal. His determination, his refusal to abandon his companions and his natural ability to attract allies make him one of the central figures in the One Piece universe.
