Origin and character background
Koby is one of the very first characters introduced at the start of the monumental One Piece series, the legendary shōnen manga created by Eiichiro Oda in 1997. Originally a timid and oppressed cabin boy aboard the pirate Alvida’s ship, his fateful encounter with Monkey D. Luffy instils in him the courage to pursue his dearest dream: to join the Navy and become an admiral. Taken under the wing of the legendary Vice-Admiral Monkey D. Garp and subjected to rigorous training, he rose through the ranks through sheer willpower to become a colonel, then a captain, whilst joining the elite secret unit "SWORD". Devoid of a Devil Fruit, Koby shines through his exceptional mastery of Rokushiki (the Six Powers) and the awakening of an ultra-sensitive Observation Haki. Banpresto’s “The Shukko” collection, whose name evokes a solemn departure by ship, stands out for its meticulous depiction of heroes wearing their long jackets or the formal coats of high-ranking officers. This figurine faithfully recreates his characteristic pink hair, the cross-shaped scar on his forehead and the elegance of his cape of justice.
