This Pyramid International magnetic bookmark, officially licensed by Disney, is dedicated to Jack Skellington and Sally, the two central characters from *The Nightmare Before Christmas*. Called ‘Screamwork’, it captures the film’s gothic and romantic aesthetic in a small accessory designed to accompany novels, manga, notebooks or diaries. Its magnetic mechanism holds the chosen page securely in place without having to fold the corner.
The design features Jack and Sally standing before a large moon, in a composition predominantly in black, white and grey. The two characters appear side by side in a stylised illustration that captures their instantly recognisable silhouettes: Jack’s extremely slender body and skeletal face contrast with Sally’s stitched appearance and long red hair.
The design is accompanied by the phrase ‘Teamwork Makes the Screamwork’, a play on words based on the English expression ‘teamwork makes the dream work’. The term ‘Screamwork’ replaces ‘dream work’ here to adapt the phrase to the macabre and humorous world of Halloween Town. This inscription is the main distinguishing feature of this version of the bookmark.
The bookmark folds around the edge of a page, and its two magnetic surfaces then snap together to hold the page in place. This design minimises the risk of the bookmark slipping out or getting lost when the book is moved or carried. The bookmark measures approximately 9 x 4.5 cm, allowing it to remain discreet once placed in a book.

Origin and character lore
Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, a world entirely devoted to preparing for and celebrating Halloween. Despite his status as the town’s iconic figure and the respect he commands from its inhabitants, Jack eventually grows weary of repeating the same spooky festivities year after year.
Whilst out for a walk, he accidentally discovers Christmas Town and finds himself fascinated by the snow, the decorations, the presents and the joyful atmosphere of Christmas. Convinced he has found a new calling, he returns to Halloween Town and sets about getting its inhabitants to organise Christmas. His enthusiasm, however, leads him to interpret the festival according to the macabre conventions he is used to, with consequences far removed from what he had imagined.
Sally is a rag doll created by Dr Finkelstein. Intelligent, independent and deeply devoted to Jack, she quickly realises that his plan to take charge of Christmas is likely to end badly. A disturbing vision confirms her fears and she tries to warn Jack, whilst continuing to help him when he finds himself in trouble.
The relationship between Jack and Sally develops gradually throughout the film and culminates in one of its most iconic scenes on the spiral hill. The ‘Screamwork’ motif on this bookmark draws specifically on this duo: its play on words around teamwork combines the macabre humour of Halloween Town with the bond that ultimately unites Jack and Sally.
