Origin and background of the character
Naruto Uzumaki is the central protagonist of the eponymous work Naruto, the must-read Shonen manga written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto between 1999 and 2014, comprising a total of 72 volumes. An orphan and host to the fearsome nine-tailed fox demon (Kyubi), the young rascal grows up marginalised and rejected by most of the inhabitants of the Hidden Village of Konoha. Far from letting this get him down, he sets himself the ultimate goal of becoming Hokage, the supreme leader and protector of his community, in order to finally earn the respect and recognition of his peers. This special “20th Anniversary” edition, published by Banpresto, celebrates the legendary journey of this determined ninja, featuring a detailed sculpt of his classic orange outfit that will delight all long-time fans.
