Origin and character background
Namikaze Minato, known worldwide by the pseudonym ‘the Yellow Flash of Konoha’, is one of the most legendary and respected ninjas in the masterful Naruto series and its sequel Naruto Shippuden, created by Masashi Kishimoto. Elevated to the rank of Fourth Hokage of the Hidden Village of Konoha, he is also the husband of Kushina Uzumaki and the biological father of the series’ protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki. Minato made his mark on shinobi history thanks to his unrivalled mastery of the God of Thunder’s Flight (Hiraishin) technique, which allowed him to teleport instantly to markers placed on his special kunai, making him the fastest ninja of his time. He is also the creator of the Rasengan, a swirling sphere of pure energy that took him three years to perfect. Banpresto’s “Panel Spectacle” collection aims to capture the stage presence of this legendary hero by combining a dynamic sculpt of his famous white Hokage cloak with a striking visual display, perfect for reliving a true piece of manga history.
