Narrative context and universe (Lore)
In theNaruto universe, this pose directly references the founding events of the very first chapter of the series. After failing the Ninja Academy exam, the young Naruto is manipulated by the traitor Mizuki and steals the Scroll of Forbidden Techniques (Fuin no Sho) kept by the Third Hokage.
It is whilst isolating himself in the forest to study this scroll that the protagonist secretly learns his signature technique: the Ultimate Multi-Clone Technique (Taju Kage Bunshin no Jutsu). This figure from theNaruto 72 Series collection, which celebrates Masashi Kishimoto’s iconic illustrations, captures the precise moment when Naruto trains with determination, marking the starting point of his evolution as a shinobi.
