Character background and lore
In the My Hero Academia universe, Tomura Shigaraki, born Tenko Shimura, is the biological grandson of Nana Shimura, the former holder of One For All and All Might’s mentor. As a child, following the traumatic and uncontrolled awakening of his Quirk, he accidentally disintegrated his entire family. Taken in by the Machiavellian All For One, he was renamed and raised to harbour pure hatred for superhero society and the symbol of peace. His devastating Quirk, known as Decay, allows him to instantly reduce anything he touches with his five fingers to dust. Having become the leader of the Villain Alliance and then the supreme commander of the Paranormal Liberation Front, Shigaraki undergoes extensive surgical and genetic modifications to inherit his master’s absolute power, establishing himself as Izuku Midoriya’s ultimate nemesis. This figurine celebrates the destructive aura, nihilistic madness and major narrative significance of this sovereign of chaos.
