From My Hero Academia, this Banpresto figurine depicts Tomura Shigaraki, leader of the Villain Alliance and the main antagonist opposing Izuku Midoriya. It is part of the Ichibansho MASTERLISE – A Story of Reaching Out Forever collection and stands approximately 23 cm tall.
Shigaraki is depicted in a hunched, unbalanced posture, his body leaning slightly forwards and one leg raised as if he were taking a slow step. One hand is open near his face, whilst the other remains tucked into his trouser pocket. This asymmetrical stance, combined with his smile and gaze, captures the character’s unsettling appearance without resorting to a traditional fighting pose.
The sculpture captures his long, tousled white hair, the visible marks on his face, and his dark outfit consisting of a loose-fitting, long-sleeved top and matching trousers. Red trainers with black laces add a splash of colour to the overall look. Banpresto places particular emphasis on the detail in the hair, skin, clothing and various textures to visually convey the character’s dishevelled and chaotic appearance.

Tomura Shigaraki is one of the main antagonists in My Hero Academia. His real name is Tenko Shimura and he is the grandson of Nana Shimura, the seventh holder of One For All and All Might’s mentor. During his childhood, his Quirk, Decay, manifested catastrophically, causing the death of his family. The anime’s official website presents this event as the turning point that shaped the character he would later become.
Following this tragedy, Tenko fell under the influence of All For One, who raised him to be his successor and gave him the identity of Tomura Shigaraki. He gradually became the leader of the Villain Alliance, gathering around him several criminals who shared his rejection of the society of heroes. For a long time, his objective boiled down to a desire to ‘destroy everything’, a phrase also used in his official profile.
His Alter, Decay, allows him to disintegrate whatever he touches. His abilities evolve considerably over the course of the series, in parallel with his progression as leader of the Villains. Following the events pitting the Villain Alliance against the Superpower Liberation Army, Shigaraki takes the helm of the Paranormal Liberation Front, becoming a threat on a far greater scale than in his early appearances.
The relationship between Shigaraki and Izuku Midoriya gradually becomes one of the central themes of the story. Both are the heirs to two opposing forces — All For One and One For All — but their confrontation ultimately goes beyond a simple clash between hero and Villain. The series also explores Tenko’s past and the question of whether, behind Tomura Shigaraki, there remains someone who might still be reached. In 2026, the anime’s official website even dedicated a special selection of episodes to the Izuku Midoriya × Tomura Shigaraki showdown.
This ‘A Story of Reaching Out Forever’ figurine directly reflects this final phase of the character’s development: rather than depicting Shigaraki with the distinctive hands seen in his early appearances, it captures his later appearance with white hair, which has become inextricably linked to his evolution and his opposition to Deku.
