Ochaco Uraraka, also known by her hero name Uravity, is one of the iconic pupils in Class 1-A at Yuei High School in My Hero Academia.
Coming from a modest background, Ochaco wants to become a professional hero so that she can support her parents financially. This very practical motivation gradually evolves as she progresses on her journey, whilst she discovers the full extent of the responsibility that the hero’s profession truly entails.
Her Quirk, Zero Gravity, allows her to negate the force of gravity affecting objects or people she touches with the pads at her fingertips. By then bringing her fingers together, she can reverse the effect and restore their normal weight.
This power enables her to move heavy loads, alter her opponents’ movements, or create openings during combat. However, using it intensively can cause her to feel dizzy and nauseous.
Beyond her Alter, Ochaco is gradually developing her physical abilities and combat skills. In particular, her training with the hero Gunhead has enabled her to learn various close-quarters combat techniques, significantly improving her effectiveness when she cannot rely solely on Zero Gravity.
Very closeto Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco shares with him a deep desire to help others. As the story unfolds, she also begins to ponder a fundamental question: if heroes are always there to save people, who is there to save the heroes when they themselves are suffering?
This reflection becomes one of the central elements of her development and gives Ochaco an increasingly important role in the major events of My Hero Academia.
The ‘Their Story’ collection focuses specifically on this more personal side of the characters. Rather than simply depicting their powers or battles, it highlights their identities, their journeys and the relationships that shape their stories.
