Origin and character background
Izuku Midoriya (better known by his hero name "Deku") is the central protagonist of the global hit My Hero Academia, the Shonen manga written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. Born without any powers (“Quirkless”) in a society where most people possess superhuman abilities, his sheer determination and exceptional sense of sacrifice eventually catch the attention of All Might, the legendary Symbol of Peace. Having become the latter’s designated successor, he receives the powerful transferable Quirk “One For All” and joins the prestigious Hero Course at U.A. High School. Banpresto’s “Cheer Pico” collection stands out by reimagining the franchise’s icons with cuter, more dynamic designs, whilst showcasing exquisite detail in the sculpting of his emerald-green hero costume and his iconic red trainers.
