Add a warm, rustic touch to your bathroom with this towel featuring My Neighbour Totoro. Measuring 34 × 75 cm, it’s a handy size that can be used as a hand towel, face towel, sports towel or for everyday use on the go. Made from cotton, it’s ideal for regular use.
The design features a bright yellow background dotted with leaves, acorns, small silhouettes of Totoro and letters spelling out the name ‘TOTORO’. A green border runs along the top and sides, creating a subtle contrast with the golden hues of the main design.
The lower section depicts several characters sitting in the middle of a maize field. The large Totoro is holding a stalk between his paws, accompanied by the medium-sized blue Totoro, the small white Totoro and several little black creatures. The yellow ears of maize, green leaves and wavy border lend the design a natural and cheerful feel.
Both functional and decorative, this tea towel is a unique textile accessory for fans of Studio Ghibli and the enchanting world imagined by Hayao Miyazaki.
My Neighbour Totoro is an animated film by Studio Ghibli released in Japan in 1988. It was written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, with music composed by Joe Hisaishi.
The story follows Satsuki and Mei, two young sisters who move with their father into a house in the countryside. Whilst exploring the surrounding area, they discover forest spirits, including the imposing Totoro and two smaller creatures.
Benevolent and mysterious, the Totoros embody the hidden magic of nature and the imagination unique to childhood. The acorns, leaves and plant life regularly associated with the characters serve as a reminder of their deep connection to the forest, here transposed into a summer setting of a maize field.
