Character background and lore
First appearing in 1928 alongside Mickey in the historic sound short film Steamboat Willie, Minnie Mouse – whose real name is Minerva Mouse – is the very embodiment of grace, sweetness and kindness within the Disney universe. Instantly recognisable by her polka-dot dress, oversized high heels and her iconic large bow-tie positioned between her ears, she has spanned the decades as a global icon of fashion and cheerfulness. Always positive, perceptive and capable of showing a strong character when the situation demands it, she supports Mickey in all his daring adventures whilst sharing close moments with her best friend Daisy Duck. More than just a cartoon character, Minnie symbolises retro elegance, childlike carefreeness and intergenerational joie de vivre. This collectible wallet pays tribute to this extraordinary cultural heritage, bringing a touch of comforting nostalgia, timeless magic and Disney chic to the organisation of your daily life.
