Origin and character background (Lore)
Created in 1928 by the brilliant Walt Disney and animator Ub Iwerks, Mickey Mouse took his first synchronised steps in the historic sound short film Steamboat Willie. A true cornerstone of global pop culture, this little anthropomorphic mouse in red shorts, white gloves and big mischievous eyes embodies enthusiasm, daring and perseverance in the face of adversity. Flanked by his faithful companions Minnie, Donald, Goofy and his dog Pluto, Mickey has navigated decades of incredible adventures, moving from slapstick comedy to roles as a legendary magician, as in the masterpiece Fantasia. More than just a cartoon character, he is the universal symbol of creativity, childlike imagination and dreams accessible to all, recalling his creator’s famous phrase: ‘It all started with a mouse’. This collector’s wallet celebrates this extraordinary cultural legacy, bringing a touch of comforting nostalgia, timeless magic and joie de vivre to the organisation of your daily life.
