Spider-Man is the superhero identity of Peter Parker, a young science enthusiast living in New York. After being bitten by a radioactive spider, he develops extraordinary abilities inspired by those of the creature: superhuman strength and agility, enhanced reflexes, the ability to cling to surfaces and an instinctive sense of danger.
Peter also designs his own web-shooters, which allow him to swing between buildings and immobilise his opponents. Despite his powers, he must constantly strike a balance between his personal life, his studies, his job and his responsibilities as a superhero.
The death of his Uncle Ben marks a major turning point in his life. Peter realises that possessing exceptional abilities comes with a duty to use them to help others. This conviction subsequently guides his actions as he protects the people of New York.
Throughout his adventures, Spider-Man faces numerous enemies such as the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, the Vulture and Mysterio. He also teams up with several Marvel heroes and, at various times, joins groups such as the Avengers or the Fantastic Four.
Despite the trials and sacrifices, Peter generally retains his sense of humour and his determination to protect the innocent. This combination of spectacular powers, everyday challenges and a sense of responsibility makes Spider-Man one of the most popular heroes in the Marvel universe.
This Funko set highlights his popularity by featuring the character in four different formats, suitable for both display and everyday use.
