Origin and character’s universe

The Hulk is one of the most iconic characters in the Marvel universe. Created as the alter ego of Bruce Banner, he embodies raw power, uncontrollable rage and the duality between human intelligence and monstrous strength.

Before becoming predominantly associated with his green colour, the Hulk appeared in a grey form in his earliest depictions. This version, often referred to as the Grey Hulk, holds a special place in the character’s history, as it reflects the visual and psychological origins of the creature conceived by Marvel.

The cover of *Hulk: Gray* #1 echoes this more intimate and tragic aspect of the character. It highlights Bruce Banner’s inner conflict, his relationship with his transformation, and the way in which the Hulk has become a figure that is at once monstrous, heroic and deeply human.

This Funko Pop! Comic Cover edition pays tribute to this facet of the character by combining a stylised Gray Hulk figurine with an iconic cover, in a format designed for Marvel collectors and comic book enthusiasts.
