Origin and character universe
Originally published in January 1965 under the creative direction of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Avengers #12 is a landmark issue from the Silver Age of Marvel comics. Entitled "The Old Order Changeth!", this memorable story arc features the God of Thunder facing a multitude of cosmic and earthly threats alongside the original Avengers team, whilst consolidating the mythology of Asgard in the face of his brother Loki’s schemes.
This figurine from the Pop! Comic Covers collection captures all the retro nostalgia and vintage aesthetic of that era. Odin’s son is depicted in his iconic classic costume, sporting his silver winged helmet and flamboyant red cape, and firmly gripping his mythical hammer, Mjolnir. Set at the centre of the protective display case, the figure stands out in three-dimensional relief against an exact replica of the original cover of Avengers #12. An absolutely unique collector’s item, designed for long-time comic book readers and MCU fans keen to adorn their wall or bookshelf with a genuine piece of publishing history.
