THE APOTHECARY DIARIES - Jinshi - Plush Toy Milkyboa 15cm

This Milkyboa soft toy from FuRyu depicts Jinshi, one of the main characters from the series *The Apothecary’s Notebooks*. Standing approximately 15 cm tall, it captures his elegant appearance in a chibi style with rounded proportions, designed equally for collecting or for display on a shelf or desk.

Jinshi is depicted sitting, dressed in traditional attire in various shades of blue and purple, embellished with gold detailing on the shoulders and at the waist. His long purple hair frames his face and falls down either side of his body, whilst his hairstyle is completed by a light blue ornament on top of his head. His simplified face, large dark eyes and slightly rosy cheeks reflect the gentle aesthetic characteristic of this Milkyboa range.

The compact 15 cm size makes it easy to pair with the Maomao soft toy from the same collection. The two characters can thus be displayed together to form a duo directly inspired by the series’ main protagonists.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Jinshi plays a central role in *The Apothecary’s Notebooks*. He is portrayed as the eunuch in charge of administering the inner imperial palace. His exceptional beauty is one of his most immediately striking features: the anime’s official profile even emphasises that, were he a woman, his appearance would be striking enough to ‘bring down a kingdom’.

It is Jinshi who gradually comes to recognise Maomao’s extraordinary abilities in the fields of medicine, poisons and investigation. He regularly entrusts her with delicate matters arising within the palace, knowing that she possesses both the knowledge and the reasoning skills necessary to uncover their origins. Initially interested in Maomao mainly for her practical usefulness, Jinshi gradually develops a much more personal and complex relationship with her. At the same time, her true origins and status form one of the major mysteries of the plot.
