Origin and backstory of the character
Gwen is a unique and deeply endearing champion from League of Legends, the world-famous MOBA game developed by Riot Games. Originally, Gwen was merely a rag doll lovingly crafted by her creator Isolde, a humble seamstress who went on to become queen. Following a terrible romantic tragedy and a magical cataclysm that shattered Isolde’s soul, the doll was forgotten, sinking to the bottom of the oceans. Brought to life centuries later by a fragment of her creator’s soul, Gwen transformed into a young human girl endowed with unique magical powers. Wielding Isolde’s ancient sewing tools — gigantic steel scissors, sharp needles and enchanted thread — she travels the world of Runeterra with childlike wonder. She uses her Sacred Mist to track down and purify the spectres of Ruin, determined to preserve the beauty of life and honour the memory of her creator.
