Origin and background of the character
Created by the famous designer Masahiro Sakurai for Nintendo and HAL Laboratory in 1992, Kirby is one of the most iconic and enduring mascots in the history of video games. A resident of the peaceful planet Popstar, this greedy little creature is distinguished by his unique ability to inhale, allowing him to suck in his enemies and instantly copy their powers and unique combat abilities. Whether wielding a sword, firing fireballs or transforming into everyday objects, Kirby overcomes challenges with unwavering optimism and kindness in the face of King Dadidou’s or Meta Knight’s schemes. Banpresto’s “Sofvimates” collection draws on all its expertise to recreate the character’s sleek silhouette and authentic pastel colours, offering a striking and refreshing visual presence to brighten up your desk or bookshelf.
