Origin and character lore
The Japanese term ‘Kawaii’ — literally meaning ‘cute’ or ‘adorable’ — has, over the past several decades, established itself as a genuine way of life and a major part of global pop culture. This universe is based on the creation of characters with soft, simplified and benevolent forms, designed to alleviate everyday stress through affection. The “Donut Axolutely” design takes its inspiration directly from the axolotl, an incredible little amphibian native to Mexico that has become a veritable internet mascot thanks to its ability to retain a youthful appearance and the illusion of an eternal smile throughout its life. Playfully combined with a sweet doughnut, it symbolises joy, light-heartedness and comfort. This keyring celebrates this universal sweetness, inviting you to go about your days in a colourful and indulgent way.
