Origin and background of the character (Lore)
Haruichi Izumo is a particularly promising recruit who joins the third unit of the JAKDF (Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force) at the same time as Kafka Hibino. Born into the prestigious Izumo family, which runs the multinational company that manufactures almost all the weapons and combat suits used by the military forces against monsters, he is under heavy family pressure. Keen to prove his own worth through his combat skills rather than his social status, he stood out from the outset in the entrance exam with an excellent rate of power release and a great mastery of precision firearms. Behind his courteous, calm demeanour lies a rigorous soldier, fully committed to protecting civilians and supporting his squad-mates.
