Origin and background of the character (Lore)
Iharu Furuhashi is a talented young recruit who joined the third unit of the JAKDF (Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force) alongside Kafka Hibino and Reno Ichikawa. A fierce competitor with an explosive temper, he develops an obsessive but healthy rivalry with Reno, refusing to be outdone by his meteoric progress. Although he may appear arrogant at first, Iharu hides a deep-rooted sense of duty and unwavering loyalty to his comrades. In battle, his battle suit allows him to unleash a very respectable percentage of power for his age, making him an invaluable asset in assaults against waves of secondary kaijus.
