Origin and character lore

Hello Kitty is one of Sanrio’s most iconic creations. In her official backstory, she lives in the suburbs of London with her parents and her twin sister Mimmy. She particularly enjoys baking biscuits and making new friends – a theme of friendship that has always been central to the character’s identity.
