Origin and background of the character
Narcissa Malfoy, wife of Lucius and mother of Draco, is an ally of Voldemort who does not, however, bear the Dark Mark, placing her family loyalty above all else. Her love for her son leads her to betray Voldemort during the final battle by claiming that Harry Potter is dead, in order to ensure Draco’s survival.
