Take a memorable journey back to the origins of the myth and celebrate the birth of a legend with Bandai’s vintage 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam model kit (EAN code: 4573102630865). Part of the legendary Best Mecha Collection, this collector’s kit is a faithful reissue of the original model that launched the global Gunpla phenomenon in Japan in the early 1980s. Piloted by the young Amuro Ray to defend the Earth Federation, the robot features the retro proportions typical of the era and its timeless, heroic tricolour design.
The assembly experience offered by this e-sport kit provides a unique nostalgic journey into the heart of vintage model-making. Unlike modern, highly articulated ranges, this historic model preserves the original, authentic engineering: the parts are moulded from a single block of pristine white plastic, inviting purists to paint the blue, red and yellow details themselves to recreate the hands-on experience of the original builders. Equipped with its iconic original weapons, including its blaster, shield and lightsabres, this historic piece stands as a true cultural artefact and an essential retro decorative item for your display cabinet.
