Origin and character’s universe
First appearing on the big screen in 1974, Mechagodzilla is the iconic robotic counterpart originally created to counter and destroy the king of the monsters, Godzilla. A veritable powerhouse of military might and futuristic technology, this steel giant is armed with laser cannons, fragmentation missiles and a force shield capable of rivalling the atomic breath of its biological counterpart. Whether portrayed as a creation of extraterrestrial origin or the ultimate weapon built by humanity for its own defence, he remains one of the most formidable and beloved rivals in Toho’s Kaiju universe. This Funko Pop! Premium edition highlights the complex robotic structure and aggressive lines of this weapon of mass destruction, making it an essential piece for all fans of retro and modern science fiction.
