Character background and lore

Frieren is an elf and a sorceress who has lived for over a thousand years. She was part of the hero Himmel’s group, alongside the priest Heiter and the warrior Eisen. Together, they travelled for ten years before defeating the Demon King and restoring peace to the world.

For Frieren, whose perception of time is profoundly different from that of humans, those ten years initially seemed like a relatively short period. When she reunites with her former companions fifty years later and witnesses Himmel’s death, she realises that she had never truly sought to understand the man with whom she had shared a decade of adventures.

This regret becomes the starting point for a new journey. Frieren sets out once more, accompanied in particular by her young apprentice Fern and the warrior Stark, whilst rediscovering the places, people and memories left behind by her previous adventure. At the same time, her almost insatiable interest in magic – including even the most trivial spells – remains one of her most distinctive traits.

This 13 cm Crane Pop Frieren figurine thus pays tribute to the central heroine of a work in which magic and adventure serve, above all, to explore the passage of time, memories and the bonds forged between people whose lives do not unfold at the same pace.
