Origin and character background
This edition commemorates the tenth anniversary of the independent horror video game franchise Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF), created by Scott Cawthon. The main plot takes place in a fictional family pizzeria, ‘Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza’, where the player takes on the role of a night security guard. During their shift, they must monitor the security cameras to survive encounters with the restaurant’s animatronic mascots, which come to life and roam the premises in a hostile manner once the restaurant closes. Foxy is one of the four original animatronics. Designed as a pirate fox with an eye patch and a hook in place of his right hand, he is usually confined to his own disused attraction, ‘Pirate Cove’, from which he escapes to sprint through the corridors if his supervision is neglected.
