Origin and universe of the character
Created by Joss Whedon in 2002, the space western series Firefly has become a major cult classic of science fiction. The plot follows the voyages of the Serenity, a Firefly-class transport ship sailing on the fringes of the star system to escape the authoritarian grip of the Alliance. Kaywinnet Lee “Kaylee” Frye serves as the ship’s chief mechanic. Lacking formal academic training but blessed with exceptional intuitive genius, she understands and repairs engines almost instinctively. Radiant, optimistic and deeply kind-hearted, Kaylee brings a much-needed touch of warmth, colour and humanity to this crew of hardened smugglers. This Funko Pop! figurine faithfully captures her dynamic presence and positive spirit, making it a must-have for all fans of the space saga.
