Iron Studios’ MiniCo collection welcomes Dominic Toretto, the central character of the Fast & Furious saga, in a stylised piece that pairs the driver with one of the defining elements of his world: an imposing black muscle car. Marketed in the 15 cm format, the statue officially measures approximately 14.2 cm in height and features the caricatured proportions characteristic of the MiniCo range.
Dom is depicted standing, wearing his traditional black vest, dark trousers and boots, with a chain around his neck. He is holding a metal mechanical tool with both hands and has a determined expression, with furrowed brows and a posture ready for action. At his feet is a black car fitted with a largely exposed engine protruding from the bonnet, all set on a base replicating a section of road with yellow road markings.
The simultaneous presence of the character and the vehicle allows this MiniCo to function as a complete little scene rather than a simple portrait. Despite its compact size, the car features distinct details on the bodywork, wheels and engine, whilst Dominic’s sculpting particularly emphasises his physique. Iron Studios officially describes the character as the leader of his team, known for his loyalty, his driving skills and his devotion to his family.
Dominic ‘Dom’ Toretto is one of the founding characters of the Fast & Furious franchise. An experienced street racer and lover of powerful cars, over the course of the films he becomes the leader of a group that gradually evolves from illegal street racing to increasingly ambitious missions around the world. Iron Studios specifically highlights his driving skills, his strength of character and his role as a leader
One of Dominic’s central themes is family, a concept that extends far beyond blood ties to encompass the members of his team. Universal thus presents Dom and his crew as a family who have faced numerous adversaries and extreme situations together throughout the saga. In Fast X, this loyalty once again takes centre stage when his loved ones are directly threatened.
American muscle cars are also an essential part of Dom’s visual identity. Iron Studios’ MiniCo therefore brings together two elements that instantly characterise the character: his silhouette in a black vest and a black car with a prominent engine. This small diorama encapsulates the automotive world of Fast & Furious whilst retaining the compact, stylised look characteristic of the MiniCo collection.
