DUNE 3 - POP Movies N° 2154 - Alia Atreides (Bloody)

DUNE 3 – POP Movies No. 2154 – Alia Atreides (Bloody)

Funko’s POP! Movies collection welcomes Alia Atreides in a ‘Bloody’ version inspired by Dune: Part Three. Numbered 2154, this vinyl figure measures approximately 10.2 cm and depicts Paul Atreides’ sister in the signature POP! style, with an oversized head and stylised proportions.

This ‘Bloody’ variant stands out for its blood-soaked effects, which accentuate the character’s dramatic appearance and set her apart from a classic depiction of Alia. Her design draws on the aesthetic of the Dune film universe whilst retaining Funko’s signature visual style.

With its compact size of around 10 cm, this POP! figure can easily be added to a collection dedicated to Dune, Denis Villeneuve’s adaptations or the various members of House Atreides. In particular, it complements the Dune: Part Three series, which also includes Paul Atreides, Chani and the Moment POP! featuring Paul with a sandworm.

Character background and lore

Alia Atreides is the daughter of Duke Leto Atreides and Lady Jessica, and the younger sister of Paul Atreides. Her story is deeply linked to the Water of Life ritual performed by Jessica whilst she was still pregnant. This prenatal exposure awakens in Alia the memories and knowledge of previous generations of Reverend Mothers, making her a so-called ‘pre-born’ child.

This unique trait endows her, even before her birth, with extraordinary consciousness and intellectual abilities. In the universe created by Frank Herbert, however, this condition is regarded as extremely dangerous by the Bene Gesserit, as a pre-born individual must cope with the constant presence of personalities drawn from her ancestral memory.

Alia makes a brief appearance, portrayed by Anya Taylor-Joy, in *Dune: Part Two*, during one of Paul’s visions of the future. *Dune: Part Three* explores this adult incarnation of the character in greater depth. The ‘Bloody’ version chosen by Funko highlights a darker and more violent side to Alia, in keeping with the political, religious and family tensions surrounding House Atreides in the rest of the saga.
