DRAGON BALL Z - Son Gohan - Figure Blood of Saiyans 16cm

Discover Son Gohan in Super Saiyan form with this Banpresto figurine from the Blood of Saiyans collection. Standing approximately 16 cm tall, it depicts Son Goku’s son during the Cell Saga of Dragon Ball Z, wearing an outfit directly inspired by that of his mentor, Piccolo.

The figurine depicts Gohan standing with his legs slightly apart and both fists clenched at his sides. His Super Saiyan hair features a golden finish that contrasts with his turquoise eyes and serious expression. He wears a purple gi, a wide red belt, purple wrist guards and brown boots. An imposing white cape with a thick collar covers his shoulders, completing this look, which is strongly associated with his training under Piccolo.

Made from PVC, this figure is part of the ‘Blood of Saiyans’ range, a Banpresto collection dedicated to the various members and transformations of the Saiyan lineage. Its 16 cm size and understated pose particularly highlight Gohan’s silhouette and Super Saiyan transformation, making it ideal for display alongside other Dragon Ball Z figurines.

Origin and character background (Lore)

Son Gohan is the son of Son Goku and Chichi. Unlike his father, he does not naturally seek out combat, but from childhood he possesses exceptional potential that manifests itself when those close to him are threatened. His development is deeply linked to Piccolo, who becomes his first true master and with whom he develops a relationship that goes far beyond mere training.

During the Cyborgs and Cell saga, Gohan enters the Room of Spirit and Time with Goku to prepare for the battle against Cell. It is during this intensive training that he manages to master the Super Saiyan transformation. Before the Cell Games, he then asks Piccolo to create a new outfit for him, similar to his mentor’s, which explains the purple gi and white cape featured on this figurine.

During the Cell Games, Goku finally entrusts his son with the responsibility of facing Cell, convinced that his son’s potential exceeds his own. Faced with the suffering of his friends and the destruction of C-16, Gohan unleashes all his anger and achieves Super Saiyan 2, an even more powerful transformation. He then becomes the decisive factor in the battle against Cell, whom he ultimately defeats with a final Kamehameha, symbolically supported by his father.

This ‘Blood of Saiyans’ figurine depicts Gohan prior to his evolution into Super Saiyan 2, in his classic Super Saiyan form and wearing Piccolo’s outfit – an appearance directly associated with one of the most significant periods of his development in Dragon Ball Z.
