Discover Son Goku in his Super Saiyan God form with this collectable figure from the Ichiban Kuji Dragon Ball DRAGON OMNIBUS ~Battle of Gods~ range. Standing approximately 25 cm tall, it depicts the divine transformation Goku achieved during his battle against Beerus.
Goku is depicted standing in a composed and confident pose, with his arms at his sides and his fists clenched. The sculpture captures the key features of the Super Saiyan God, notably his distinctive red hair and his slightly more slender build compared to his traditional Super Saiyan transformations. His focused expression emphasises the calm associated with this divine form.
The character wears his famous orange dōgi, complemented by a dark blue top, a matching belt, wrist guards and his combat boots. The emblem on his chest, along with the detailed work on the folds of his clothing, recreates his appearance during the *Battle of Gods* period. The deliberately upright pose particularly highlights the silhouette and distinctive colours of this transformation.
The Super Saiyan God appears when Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, sets out in search of a warrior bearing that name after seeing him in a prophetic dream. During their first encounter on Kaiō’s planet, Son Goku is still unaware of the existence of this transformation and attempts to face Beerus in Super Saiyan 3 form. However, the gap in their power levels is considerable and Goku is quickly defeated.
After Beerus arrives on Earth, Shenron reveals the existence of a ritual capable of bringing forth the Super Saiyan God. The energy of several pure-hearted Saiyans is then channelled into Goku. The process enables him to tap into divine power for the first time and transforms his appearance: his hair turns red, his physique becomes more refined, and his ki reaches a level previously unattainable by Saiyans.
In this new form, Super Saiyan God Goku is finally able to face Beerus and engage in a battle on a completely new scale. Their confrontation continues all the way into the upper atmosphere, with Goku gradually discovering how to control his divine energy. Although he fails to overcome the God of Destruction, his resilience and potential impress Beerus enough that he ultimately decides against destroying Earth.
This transformation marks a major turning point in the Dragon Ball universe: it truly introduces divine ki and paves the way for the power levels and deities that will become central to Dragon Ball Super. In particular, the Super Saiyan God form serves as the basis for Goku’s subsequent evolution into the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, more commonly known as Super Saiyan Blue.
