Origin and background of the character
Kamesennin, better known as Master Roshi, is one of the most iconic, ancient and respected figures in the universal Dragon Ball saga, created by Akira Toriyama. Founder of the Turtle School and creator of the legendary Kamehameha energy technique, he is the original spiritual mentor to Son Goku and Krillin, instilling in them not only the basics of martial arts but also a philosophy of life centred on pushing oneself to the limit. Although he often hides behind the guise of an eccentric old hermit, a joker and lover of adult magazines living on his isolated island (Kame House), he remains a formidable warrior endowed with immense wisdom, capable of pushing his physical limits during major tournaments. Banpresto’s “Ichibansho” sub-category is acclaimed worldwide by discerning collectors for its exceptional finish, rigorous anatomical accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. This 16 cm figurine captures his facial features, white beard and famous shell with surgical precision, establishing itself as an essential centrepiece to enhance your display cabinet.
