Winnie the Pooh lives in the Hundred Acre Wood, where he shares his adventures with Christopher Robin and his friends, including Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga and Roo. Disney describes Winnie as a loyal friend to his neighbours, always ready to come to their aid.
The character has his origins in the stories written by A. A. Milne, inspired in particular by his son Christopher Robin and his soft toys. Following the books published in the 1920s, Disney adapted this world for the screen with *Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree* in 1966, before bringing together several adventures in the feature film *The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh* in 1977.
