Origin and character background
Agumon is the most famous, respected and popular Digimon from the original Japanese animated series Digimon Adventure, a major cross-media franchise launched to huge success in the late 1990s. This small orange reptilian Digimon of the Disciple level is distinguished by his courageous, go-getting nature and his insatiable appetite. As the designated partner of the charismatic leader Taichi Yagami, bearer of the Symbol of Courage, Agumon is always ready to brave the worst dangers to defend his friends by spitting out fearsome fireballs (Baby Flame). His successive transformations into the powerful Greymon, MetalGreymon and WarGreymon have left their mark on a whole generation of fans of space opera and virtual worlds. Banpresto’s “Sofvimates” collection draws on all its expertise to faithfully recreate his sharp white claws, his authentic bright orange colour and his disarming smile, offering an essential piece to crown any collector’s display cabinet.
