In the world of Demon Slayer
In the ruthless world of Demon Slayer, Kaigaku is a character with a deeply tragic and corrupt fate. Initially trained alongside Zenitsu Agatsuma under the tutelage of the former Lightning Pillar, Jigoro Kuwajima, he was regarded as a particularly gifted apprentice. However, consumed by an inflated ego, a cowardly fear of death and a constant contempt for Zenitsu, Kaigaku chose to betray the Demon Slayer Corps. Faced with the fearsome Kokushibo, the First Upper Moon, he agreed to drink the blood of Muzan Kibutsuji to become a demon himself. This act of infamy propelled him to the rank of the new Sixth Upper Moon, mastering a perverse and devastating version of the Black Lightning Breath.
