In the world of Demon Slayer
In the ruthless world of Demon Slayer, Giyu Tomioka holds the prestigious position of Water Pillars (Mizukage) within the Demon Slayer Corps. It was he who discovered Tanjiro immediately after the massacre of his family and, moved by the brotherly bond between the young man and his transformed sister Nezuko, chose to spare them and guide them to his own mentor, Sakonji Urokodaki. Behind his aloof, solitary and taciturn demeanour lies a man deeply haunted by his past, endowed with a keen sense of duty and absolute mastery of the Breath of Water, for which he himself created the legendary eleventh form: the Calm.
